Before the folks at Yume get mad at me, its spelled YUME, but pronounced you-may. Well amongst the many amazing events that are held at the YUME loft they have a weekly series called Spit That in collaboration with Writer’s Block. The session takes place every Thursday from 7pm to 11pm and it provides a combination of intellectual stimulation and intimate entertainment. This series is only around for 6 weeks and this is the third week. So, make sure you check this out while you have the chance.
I stopped by on my last Thursday in New York . It was the first Spit That after the inauguration and before people got into their poetry we all collectively had a conversation about what Obama means for America and other issues about society and focusing on the Youth and making the community better.

I like her spirit and the things that she says. I especially like what she said about having passion and being focused by passion. I should be placed in the spotlight soon as well.
