The Core of the Black Apple: Jade
Jade, the name might not ring a bell, but once you hear the rings of her voice you will be hooked in. The petite songstress delivered a mesmerizing performance at SOB’s The Black Apple last Tuesday that left the audience feeling far from jaded!
She was the core of the Black Apple, a showcase put on by GFC featuring artists Mickey Factz, Stalley, and FKi. FKi brought tons of youthful energy, the youngest artists on the team and haling all the way from the ATL they brought a funky fun vibe with them. Stalley spit striaght bars, not too much of a show, until he brought on special guest Jesse Boykins iii. And Mickey turned it up a notch showing off his new dance moved he’s been learning in dance class, and vibing out with the crowd to Michael Jackson. The sold out show inevitably piled in off of the strength of Mickey’s name, but it was indeed Jade who stole the show planting the seeds for the growth of a new star out of the GFC camp.
Slowly waltzing onto the stage with a large sunflower in her hand, she had the audience mesmermized with her presence and her natural energy. It was as if she and the music and her dance movements were one, not one step seemed choreographed. She incorprated a child like innocence combined with the emotion of a woman beyond her years.
