Every summer usually has a specific type of movie list. In 2007 it was the Summer of the Sequels (Spider-Man 3, Shrek 3, Pirates 3). In 2008 it was the Summer of Comic Book Movies (Iron Man, Hulk, Dark Knight). This year seems seems to have a variety of those previous models. Here’s a list of this summers most anticipated films:

Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian (Sequel)

Up (Original Movie)

Year One (Original Movie)

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (Sequel)

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (Sequel)

Public Enemies (Based on a True Story)

Bruno (Based on a Character from a TV Show)

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (Sequel)

Funny People (Original Movie)

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (Based on a Line of Toys)

Inglourious Basterds (Original Movie)

Final Destination: Death Trip 3D (Sequel)

H2: Halloween 2 (Sequel)
