Movie Review- How to Train Your Dragon
How to Train Your Dragon
A hapless young Viking who aspires to hunt dragons becomes the unlikely owner of a young dragon himself, and learns there may be more to the creatures than he assumed.
What Worked: I am really loving this new wave of animated films. Years ago, one would come out and be bad. But written off because “it’s for kids”. And only a couple of good ones came out. But now these films are getting better. Maybe its because of Pixar. We now have such high standards for animated movies. And Dragon is one of those great animated movies. Its perfect for kids and for adults. With the 3D…their seems to be a lot of backlash now with 3D films. I do agree that not every movie needs 3D. Its just another way to jack up ticket prices. But animated films in 3D are just beautiful. Dragon isn’t a traditional animated movie. More action-adventure than comedy. And very heartfelt (a word I’ve never used before). And the score is just fantastic. This years Cloudy with A Chance of Meatballs.
What Didn’t Work: Everything worked. NOW GO SEE IT.
Side Note: I do feel a bit weird giving this a 10/10 because that implies its a perfect film. But I honestly tried to find something wrong with it. Anything. But I couldn’t.
