I am the JOURNALIST OF THE YEAR!!

I entered my portfolio for a national contest to name the national journalist of the year in the country. Thus far I have been reviewed by the state judges and I am officially the Journalist of the Year for the state of New York and my portfolio has been sent on to the national competetion now.Here is the email they sent!

Hi Rhonesha,

I am pleased to tell you that we selected your portfolio as the Journalist of the Year for New York. The portfolio has been sent on to the Journalism Education Association’s national headquarters where youwill now compete for National High School Journalist of the Year. If you are selected as a winner or runner-up in that competition, you will hear directly from the Journalism Education Association. You may also check their web site at jea.org for updated information when they have chosen the winners.

We were very impressed by the extensive journalism work you’ve done,and feel you are deserving of the title. We hope you will continue your pursuit of journalism as a career, and wish you the best of luck in college and beyond.Please don’t hesitate to contact me if I can be of additionalassistance to you.
