Dante: Walk It Like I Talk It [download]

Meet Dante, a petite, female emcee from Brooklyn with a lot to say. She cites Aaliyah, Lupe Fiasco, Jay-Z as some of her influences. She’s currently working with Dot Da Genius who produced Kid Cudi’s “Day N Nite,” so you know she’s in good hands.

Dante started out as a poet and graduated into an artist soon after her mother bought her a tape recorder for Christmas. From that point on all thoughts were translated into lyrics. Her first mix tape, “The 90 Pound Problem”, is available for download on her MySpace page and it’s definitely worth a listen. Dante’s swag soaked flow laces every track making her talent obvious.

She’s back to conquer 09 with her latest single, “Walk It Like I Talk It.” Her mixtape entitled, Square In A Circle aka SIC is scheduled for a mid-May release date.
