BET’s Rip the Runway 2007 I am very disappointed

This was the scene outside of Hammerstein Ballroom on Tueday March 6. A large crowd stood in front in front of the venue trying to get into Bet’s Rip the Runway. The tickets said “doors open at 6″ so to ensure I arrived early I got there around 4. We got to the door and the “bouncer” said they were full to capacity and weren’t letting anyone else in. He said people were lined up since 9 am! People with NO tickets of course. The tickets to that event were completely void and disregarded leaving hundreds of patrons who had actually acquired tickets out in the cold, literally. In the beginning they made th announcement that no one else would be let in, but as time passed and the crowd grew larger they did not emit anymore warnings and let everyone just stand there in the cold thinking tha they would get in. I stayed in the area and made some calls to some people to see if someone I knew from the inside could get me a pass to get in. But that did not work out either. So BET, I am highly disappointed in how this event was handled. The bouncers were rude, and the tickets were completely disregarded. If I would have known that I would have just got me a VIP pass or a press pass before hand. But I did not think it was necessarry being that I had what I thought was a legitimate ticket. I was wrong though and looks like there will be NO MORE BET EVENTS FOR ME!
