The Editors of the New Oxford Dictionary are now starting to release a word of the year….
The word of 2007 is:
locavore: someone who eats locally grown food
This is a new word, to be published in all the new dictionaries so you may not see it in your dictionary at home. Dictionaries are now letting people submit entries for new words and have people vote as to which they want to go into the dictionary. Wow, what will this do to the english language?

That’s a great point. I feel like people don’t always consider the consequences of programs like those.
On the other hand, expanding the English language is not a bad idea. If Shakespeare did it, why can’t we?
